Mahiru is a blue collar working girl who's liveliness is her charm. On her 23rd birthday she goes to her favorite patisserie shop to buy herself a cake, but they are all sold out. Bummed out, she is about to leave the shop when her childhood friend Nagi calls out to her. He is a pâtissier working at the patisserie.
As they are having a conversation in their usual tone, Mahiru notices the eyes of a customer who has come for Nagi specifically, and she leaves the store in a hurry.
